Mineral Resources

GGI has conducted detailed geologic mapping for numerous clients throughout New Mexico that focused on mineral resource determination for conservation easements. These projects require a literature review to determine potential mineral resources followed by a site visit to verify the local geologic conditions and to identify mineral resources on a particular site. The geology and potential mineral resources in the areas investigated vary widely, from Quaternary sand and gravel deposits in Northern New Mexico to potentially mineralized marine sedimentary rocks in southwest New Mexico, to coal resource districts.
