Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions

GGI is expanding into this service area as the concern for the potential impacts from greenhouse gases (GHG) grows. The dairy industry has become more involved with air quality issues during the last decade. GHGs that are found at dairies are being included in many new regulations, including carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4).

GGI is capable of providing two basic services regarding the GHG emissions at your dairy. The first service is an inventory of GHG production for your operation. The inventory defined the limits of your operation, identifies the sources of GHG, and develops an accurate measurement of the GHG production for various seasonal and operating conditions.

With this GHG inventory, GGI can assist in providing options to voluntarily reduce the GHG emissions before regulatory agencies mandate changes. The inventory also provides a database for future reporting requirements or for future changes in operation, such as expansions.
