Virtually all water that is stored in aquifers has some hydrologic connection to surface water sources or sinks. This hydrologic connection is very important in determining how water rights are administered and the best management of water resources.
Groundwater models include estimates of the groundwater to surface water connection and will calculate surface water impacts due to ground water pumping.
Selected Projects :
- Santa Fe Canyon Ranch
- Red River Pass Water Availability
- Calibration of the US Geological Survey’s Southern Amargosa eMbedded Model (NV, Death Valley Flow System Model)
- Pahrump Valley (NV) Superposition Groundwater Model; Accepted by the Nevada State Engineer for Use in Administration of Water Rights Transfers
