Phase I Environmental Site Assessment/Due Diligence
GGI has provided Phase I Environmental Assessments for numerous clients with a diverse type of due diligence requirements. GGI has extensive background in providing a quality product that complies with the latest standard: the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard for Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E 1527-05). GGI has recent and ongoing experience with projects of various scales of investigation and types of land use activities.
Projects completed in a more rural environment include a pair of ESAs for approximately 2,100 acres of ranch land east of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This property had the potential for elevated occurrences of illegal dumping due to the lack of solid waste facilities in the rural area, but the ESAs demonstrated no recognized environmental conditions for the property.

Private clients have provided the greater volume of GGI’s Phase I ESA activity in New Mexico. GGI has completed numerous reports for private property transfers in areas with high densities of sites identified with leaking underground storage tanks. GGI knowledge of these environmental sites has proven valuable in providing reliable assessments to our clients. GGI expertise also extends to ESAs conducted by key personnel in other regions of New Mexico including Gallup, Tucumcari, Las Cruces, Raton, Carlsbad, and Alamogordo.

GGI provides additional services not required for the standard Phase I ESA, and can assist the client in deciding the future plans for the property. These include asbestos sampling, lead-based paint sampling, vapor surveys, and sample programs for media impacted by polychlorinated biphenyls or PCBs.
